Gravity Rush, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection now available for PS Vita

One from Sony Japan, and one from Kojima.

Two anticipated PlayStation Vita releases hit retail today: Gravity Rush, from Keiichiro Toyama and SCE Japan Studio, and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, from Konami and Kojima Productions.

Gravity Rush follows the story of a girl named cat, who awakens in a town with no recollection of her past, and gains gravity powers from a strange cat. Keiichiro Toyama has taken to the PlayStation Blog with a few words on its release and an upcoming download content schedule. Catch the launch trailer below.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection includes high-definition remasters of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, enhanced with Vita-specific functionality. Owners of the PlayStation 3 version can take their game on the go with transferable game saves.

“With Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, gamers will be impressed with the updated graphics and the ability to zoom and perform attacks by using just their fingers on the touch screen of the PlayStation Vita system,” said Konami president Tomoyuki Tsuboi. It’s an exciting new way to experience the games Metal Gear Solid fans have known and loved for years.”
