Do PS Vita games load faster off the cartridge?

By a few seconds, if these two games are to go by.

When you buy a game for PlayStation Vita, you’ll have the option of buying it at retail or purchasing it digitally through the PlayStation Store. If you’re keen on the shortest load times, purchasing at retail might be your best bet.

Kotaku Japan conducted an test with Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Army Corps of Hell. Using two PlayStation Vitas, it launched the digital and cartridge versions of the same game at the same time. In Uncharted‘s case, the cartridge version beat the download version to the title screen by four seconds. With Army Corps of Hell, the cartridge version reached the title screen about a second before the download version.

It’s no big deal, of course. But it’s nice to know. See the comparison below.
