Record of Agarest War 2 coming to North America and Europe

Aksys and Ghostlight announce localization.

Aksys Games and Ghostlight Interactive announced today they’re bringing Record of Agarest War 2 (or Agarest: Generations of War 2, as it’s known in Europe) for PlayStation 3 to North America and Europe in summer 2012.

Developed by Idea Factory, Compile Heart and RED Entertainment, the game follows the story of a young man named Weiss, a survivor of a “Day of Light” incident that caused catastrophic destruction to the world. After losing his memory, Weiss runs into a woman named Eva, who claims to be the Agent of the Divine. She tells him he has committed the sin of decide, and that in order to atone he must become to “Vessel” to restore the power of divinity.

Agarest 2 features:

  • Revamped Battle System: Unlike the first two games of the series, Agarest 2 battles are fought with an engaging active grid-based battle system.
