Baba: Tales of Xillia cut due to time constraints

Xillia should've included more, says Baba.

Tales of Xillia didn’t include all the content it was supposed to, according to producer Hideo Baba.

Speaking in an interview with the official Tales of Xillia complete guide, recently released in Japan, Baba said many planned features were excluded due to time constraints.

A hot springs event; an area similar to Tales of Vesperia and Tales of the Abyss‘ Nam Cobanda Isle; two more playable characters (including Gaius); and secret missions similar to Tales of Vesperia‘s are just some of the initially planned features for Xillia.

The past few Tales releases have all received an update a year or two after release including additional content. Could a Tales of Xillia update be planned for the future?

Thanks, Hachimaki.
