Yesterday, Sony Japan vice president Kaz Hirai revealed PlayStation Vita would launch first in Japan this year, following an early 2012 launch worldwide. Today, Sony Japan president Hiroshi Kawano hinted at when we’ll learn of the handheld’s final release date.
“Once we’ve set the final release date, we’ll let you know,” wrote Kawano on the Japanese PlayStation Vita community site. “The announcement will probably come at TGS.”
The Tokyo Game Show will be held from September 15 through 18. Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studio president Shuhei Yoshida and senior vice president Yoshio Matsumoto will give a speech about PlayStation Vita from 11:10 to 12:00 on September 15.
Thanks, Andriasang.
