The first in a series of Deus Ex: Human Revolution developer diaries was released today. The video, titled “Behind 2027: The World of Deus Ex: Human Revolution,” is an in-depth discussion behind the game’s setting: a time of technological advancements, conspiracy, and chaos.

Game director Jean-Francois Dugas, art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete, and lead writer Mary DeMarle discuss the game world, major characters, and backstory of 2027.
