Valve interested in Wii U development

Future Valve games may not only see release on PC, Mac, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, but on Wii U, as well. Speaking to Joystiq at today’s Games for Change Festival in New York City, Valve boss Gabe Newell confirmed the company’s interests in the newly-announced platform, saying it seems “more powerful” than the “previous generation.”
“Wii U seems to be a lot more powerful than the previous generation,” he told the site. “It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think it’ll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model.”
Though Valve has never released a game on a Nintendo platform, they’ve always admired them.
“We’ve always loved Nintendo.
“Now it’s a lot easier to look at Wii U and have it fit within that framework.”
