Square Enix interested in PSP Remasters

Final Fantasy producer Yoshinori Kitase is interested in bringing Square’s best PSP titles to Sony’s recently announced PSP Remaster lineup of PlayStation 3 titles, which takes the greatest PSP games and upgrades them to suit the big screen.

Speaking to Dengeki PlayStation, Kitase and Final Fantasy director Motomu Toriyama specifically mentioned Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

Toriyama said that that the two titles are currently in a “blank slate,” which means they’ve yet to make any official decisions regarding a Remaster, but are interested in the possibility.
