During Konami‘s pre-E3 press conference, Hideo Kojima revealed plans for a multiplatform future at Kojima Productions. While unveiling Kojima Productions’ new in-house “Fox Engine,” Kojima revealed that they’ll no longer develop games exclusively for a single platform.
“Up until now, we’ve been developing games exclusively for specific platforms, but in the future we look to go more global,” said Kojima. “And we are paving the road to go multiplatform for future titles.
“My next project to utilize this new engine will be a multiplatform game and be transfarring-enabled for a global audience.”
Transfarring is Kojima Productions’ new gameplay feature which enables both at-home and on-the-go play.
