Marvelous Entertainment and AQ Interactive merge
Marvelous Entertainment, AQ Interactive and Liveware will merge on October 1. Marvelous will be the serving entity in the merger — the new company will be known as Marvelous AQL Inc.
Marvelous CEO Haruki Nakayama will become Marvelous AQL chairman and AQ Interactive CEO Shuichi Motoda will become Marvelous AQL CEO.
Marvelous is known as the publisher of games such as Harvest Moon and No More Heroes in Japan. AQ Interactive’s now-absorbed subsidiaries are known for Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. Liveware pursues mobile games.
The three companies combined hope to form a “value chain” that can cover the “full stream” of entertainment under the strategy of multiple devices and contents.
Thanks, Andriasang.
