Rumor: “Major” PlayStation franchise getting HD collection at E3

The latest issue of PSM3 magazine is teasing a new high-definition game collection reveal, akin the recent Tomb Raider Trilogy or the upcoming Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, for a “major PS franchise” at E3 this June.

“The current trend of classic games being remade in HD like Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia is set to continue with a major PS franchise set to reveal its new HD glory at E3,” teased the magazine. “No clues. But you’ll like it.”

A rumor from PlayStation: The Official Magazine UK back in January made whispers of a Metal Gear Solid high-definition trilogy in the pipeline. Perhaps this and the PSM3 rumor are one in the same?
