BBC: Off the record, PSN credit card details ‘probably not compromised’

BBC technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones has been told off the record by Sony that the credit card details stored on your PlayStation Network account are ‘probably not compromised’.
Speaking in a new clip posted on the publication’s website, he said: “What’s worrying lots of people is that it’s not just used for playing online games, but it’s used for buying stuff, as well. And therefore people’s credit card details will be in there.
“Now, we’re not getting any on the record from Sony, but off the record, they’re saying credit card details are ‘probably not compromised’.”
Needless to say, remain alert. Keep an eye on your account and make sure everything’s running smoothly.
