United Front Games hit with layoffs due to True Crime cancellation

United Front Games has confirmed the Vancouver-based studio’s been hit with layoffs due to Activision’s recent cancellation of True Crime: Hong Kong.

“Due to the fact that True Crime is no longer in production, a number of roles have been made redundant which unfortunately, has led to a reduction in staff,” a United Front rep told Joystiq. “UFG is still very much open for business and we will continue to ship top games.”

We hope everyone whose been laid-off the best at finding new work. We’re sure you’re all talented, and that you’ll find home at a new studio.
