Rumor: Metal Gear Solid HD trilogy coming to PS3

A high-definition re-release of the first three Metal Gear Solid games may be on the way for PlayStation 3, according to a rumor in the latest issue of UK’s Official PlayStation Magazine.

The information comes from the magazine’s ‘Insider Whispers’ section, where it claims the “first three” games are currently “in the facelift queue” for PlayStation 3.

The series saw an ‘Essentials Collection’ release on PS2 back in 2008, which also included the first three games. This would be the first time they were brought out in high-definition.
