First Journey footage revealed

Journey

The December 9 episode of GameTrailers TV debuted the first gameplay footage of thatgamecompany’s latest PlayStation 3 title Journey. The company is responsible for past PlayStation 3 hits flOw and Flower. GameTrailers TV visited thatgamecompany in Los Angeles, where studio boss Jenova Chen shared a few words.

“One thing we want to try for Journey is to create this feeling between two complete strangers,” said Chen on GameTrailers TV. “So it’s like you’re on a hike and you’re heading somewhere and on the path you might run across other players’ paths; and you guys could stay together or leave each other.

“It’s a little bit sci-fi, it’s a little bit fantasy,” he continued, “…our goal is trying to expand the experience games can communicate in.”
