EA Partners will distribute Valve‘s anticipated puzzle game, Portal 2, Electronic Arts has announced today. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise — EA’s Partners division distributed all of Valve’s console releases so far, including The Orange Box, Left 4 Dead, and Left 4 Dead 2.
“Portal 2 is Valve’s most innovative title in the company’s history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April,” said Doug Lombardi, vice president of marketing at Valve. “We’re excited to be working with Electronic Arts to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms.”
Portal 2 launches across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac on April 21, 2011. The PlayStation 3 version of the game will support the Steamworks platform.
