Ubisoft‘s announced a new entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise today, although, it’s not a game. Instead, it’s an animated short story set to launch alongside Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood on November 16.
Titled Assassin’s Creed: Ascendance, the Ubisoft Montreal-developed animation fills the story between Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. It’s the time period Ezio learns the truth behind Ceasare Brogia’s rise to power in Rome.
The animated story will be availbale on the PlayStation Store, Xbox LIVE Marketplace and “other digital channels” on November 16 for $1.99. No word on how long it is, yet. A trailer for the short can be seen below.
