Heavy Rain movie deal closed

A movie deal for Quantic Dream‘s PlayStation 3 thriller drama, Heavy Rain, is coming to a close. According to a report from Deadline, Unique Features – a film company started by former New Line Cinema employees Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne – is picking it up.

The report reveals that Shaye won top bid in the CAA auction for the title, using his own money to buy it and not holding back until Warner Brothers – whom he has a first look deal with – approves it. Apparently, he liked it that much.

Heavy Rain has sold over a million copies since it launched on PlayStation 3 this February. If you haven’t played it, you’re clearly missing out on some fine interactive drama. Over a million people say so.
