High Voltage Software, the developers behind Nintendo Wii‘s The Conduit, are currently developing a new first-person shooter titled The Grinder. Until today, this game was a Wii-only affair, but the developer has confirmed that The Grinder is now also on the way to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
“Our secret is out!” High Voltage president Kerry Ganofsky told IGN, “Grinder is no longer a Wii exclusive. We plan to ship on Xbox 360, Sony PS3, and PC as well.”
The Grinder takes place in an alternate universe where mythical creatures roam the land. The citizens of Earth are used to their stay, but a small group of monster hunters aren’t accustomed. Hector, Doc, Miko and AJ make up the organization “Book” and are out to kill these monsters and find out what caused the outbreak.
High Voltage’s goal for the game is to get it out to as many gamers as possible, says their chief creative officer Eric Nofsinger.
“Bringing our third internal IP to all the current-generation systems allows us to show off what our company can really do and get it into the hands of the most gamers.”
The game’s obviously changed since going multiplatform. When will get to see it? Kerry confirmed: “We’ll show you first at GDC.”
The developer is currently planning a lengthy campaign, downloadable content and high replay value for the game.
As of yet, the game has no announced publisher.
