Sony: “All PS3 units will be firmware upgradeable to 3D”

During Sony’s Media/Investor Conference, they touched a lot on 3D gaming’s arrival next year. They’re preparing to roll out 3D on blu-ray discs, PlayStation 3, 3D live broadcasting, and even 3D movie theaters using new digital cinema projectors.

Sony likes 3D. This we know.

What you didn’t know is that come next year, Sony says that “all PS3 units will be firmware upgradeable to 3D” meaning the only thing you’ll have to do to get it is download the latest update (which are usually mandatory to connect online).

Honestly, I would probably get a headache playing in 3D.
