Kojima surprised at Zone of the Enders 3 reaction

Hideo Kojima made a promise last week that Zone of the Enders 3 will be made, at some point in the future. In this week’s blog post on the official Kojima Productions blog, Kojima was a bit surprised at the reaction the promise received.

“The reaction [to the post] was greater than I’d expected,” he wrote. “The comments topped the 100 mark, and the access count reached levels of the Tokyo Game Show time. It was picked up in a variety of places, including the net and press, and spread throughout the world.”

Development members that worked on previous Zone of the Enders games were excited as well, asking Kojima if they could be involved in the third game. They were so excited that they even asked him when development starts and decorated his desk in a Zone of the Enders fashion.

Kojima was surprised to hear rumors that used prices for the previous two PS2 games have gone up at retailers as well.

Hopefully development will start even sooner now.

Thanks, Andriasang.
