Hydrophobia to be released episodically on Xbox LIVE

Dark Energy Digital has announced that they will release Hydrophobia, their upcoming game starring a hydrophobic protagonist, on Xbox LIVE through a three-episode series.

The latest issue of Xbox World 360 includes a preview of the game, confirming that each episode will last five hours and be released over a twelve month period. If the game gains more popularity, they may release three more episodes.

Hydrophobia stars Kate Wilson, a woman who fears water and is trying to escape a sinking ship after being bombed by terrorists.

Since the preview was from an Xbox 360-based magazine, there’s no word on what’s going on with the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the game, which were originally announced alongside an Xbox 360 version.
