TGS ’09: Fumito Ueda wants to see Shadow of the Colossus on PS3

Fumito Ueda, Team ICO leader and mastermind behind PS3’s The Last Guardian, has told 1UP at TGS that he wants to see Shadow of the Colossus and Ico re-released on PS3 similar to the God of War Collection coming this Fall.

He’s all for it, apparently. “Initially, I didn’t want to consider that,” he pointed out. “I always thought they were designed for PS2 and should stay there. But lately, I’ve been thinking it would be nice to provide the games to other platforms to reach more users.”

We’d love to see Ico and Shadow of the Colossus re-released on PS3. Let’s hope that he’s just talking it up while Sony’s working on it behind the scenes.
