TGS ’09: Dead Rising 2 multiplayer detailed, new media

First details regarding Dead Rising 2‘s new multiplayer mode have come out of the Tokyo Game Show.

“A series of multiplayer challenges for up to four players via online play,” will be jammed into the anticipated sequel, including “jumping into giant hamster balls and mowing down the undead; seeing who can place the most drill buckets on zombies’ heads,” “taking to the arena on a motorbike with chainsaws for handlebars”. Players can also interfere with other players’ scores.

New screenshots have also been released of the game’s single-player campaign with Chuck Greene smashing the crap out of those zombies we all know and love. See those at the gallery. As well as that, two new trailers are also available, where you’ll get your first glimpse of gameplay.
