Sony CEO dismisses price cuts for PlayStation 3
Sony Corporation CEO Howard Stringer has addressed talks on a PlayStation 3 price cuts today, brushing off concerns that the console is too expensive.
Activision Blizzard CEO Robert Kotick had recently made comments on the PlayStation 3’s price, going as far to say as they would stop developing PlayStation 3 games if the company doesn’t drop the console’s price.
“He likes to make a lot of noise,” Stringer said, when asked about the comments. “He’s putting pressure on me and I’m putting pressure on him. That’s the nature of business.” He added: “I (would) lose money on every PlayStation I make — how’s that for logic.”
So is a price cut on the way? We don’t see one in the near future but you never know what Sony might have up their sleeves.
