L.A. Noire in “Final Production Phase”?

This one may be a little late. The Team Bondi website hasn’t updated at all since 2006 when Rockstar’s L.A. Noire was first announced. Two months ago, however, something new was posted on the game’s website:

“We’re looking to expand our Animation Team to cope with the final production phase of L.A. Noire. This includes the in-game cut-scenes, story cut-scenes, reviewing and cleaning up the animations for the in-game mechanics and supervising capture for the new facial animation technology which has been developed in conjunction with this project.”

If this is true, that must mean the game is well on it’s way to completion. When will we get to see this game in action? I would have figured E3 2008, but it may be a bit longer.
