Reeves: PS3 Will Exceed the PS2’s Lifetime Sales

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president David Reeves spoke today saying that the PLAYSTATION 3 will eventually exceed the total lifetime sales of the hundred-million selling PlayStation 2.

It’s not secret that the start of the PLAYSTATION 3 was slow, but Reeves says:

“The PS3 install base is growing faster that the PS2’s was at this point in its lifecycle.”

Continuing on:

“The next five years are going to be turbulent. But I think it is going to be the most exciting period that we have ever seen in the past ten years of video games,”

We look forward to the next five years.
