At SCEA Judges Day ’08, Allen Goode, Lead Game Designer for SOCOM: Confrontation gives us a gameplay walkthrough of the game. He shows us the classic Crossroads map that most fans will recognize. All vehicles and items such as propane tanks are destructible. There is also an armor system in the game, letting you take heavier hits. That doesn’t avoid head shots, however. Allen Goode, Lead Game Designer for SOCOM: Confrontation, continues his walkthrough of the game. This continuation explores more of the classic Crossroads layout as well as letting us know that the game will feature a “robust” buddy list, clan ladders and tournaments, as the game is online only and they want to focus on the community features. One questionable feature added is the knife melee attack, something no previous SOCOM has incorporated online and one that may or may not go over well with the current community. (written by Eric)
