Itagaki says Ninja Gaiden Sigma was ‘no good’

Ninja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki said today that the PLAYSTATION 3 enhanced port of the Xbox’s Ninja Gaiden was “no good”, even though it did fantastic on reviews.

“Despite the fact that it’s on a ‘next-generation’ console there’s no evolution whatsoever. That was made not by me, but one of my sub-ordinates who basically tried to copy the success of Ninja Gaiden.” Itagaki added.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma director Yosuke Hayashi was very confident in the PLAYSTATION 3, however. He went on and on of the console’s power.

“I have heard much criticism of the PS3, but I am confident that Ninja Gaiden Sigma will demonstrate how powerful the PS3 really is.” Hayashi stated.

He did say he had more titles in the works for the PLAYSTATION 3, but we hope he gets a chance to work on it again.
