It’s a winter’s day, and snow is fluttering down…

On a bench in front of the train station, I reunite with my cousin, Nayuki Minase, for the first time in seven years.

Nayuki and my aunt welcomed me back to this town after I suddenly had to move.

It’s also home to some hazy childhood memories of mine.

In this town, covered in deep snow, five girls and I will come to experience small miracles…

  • Yuichi Aizawa – With his parents having moved overseas for work, he finds himself staying with his aunt who he often visited as a child. For some reason, he doesn’t quite remember the details of what happened in this town. Having transferred schools as well, he ends up in the same class as Nayuki.
  • Ayu Tsukimiya – A girl that Yuichi encounters while shopping on the first day he moves to town. Ayu and Yuichi come to know each other after she bumps into him, literally, during an attempt to eat and run.
  • Nayuki Minase – The eldest daughter of the Minase family that Yuichi moves in with, she and Yuichi are the same age. Although she hasn’t seen Yuichi in seven years, she’s perfectly fine with him living in t
  • Makoto Sawatari – A girl who has lost her memory. Going off the only thing she remembers—a disdain for Yuichi—she invites herself into the Minase house and follows him around.
  • Shiori Misaka – A first-year student at the school Yuichi transfers to. Her illness kept her out of school for a long time, but after meeting Yuichi, she returns to class.
  • Mai Kawasumi – A third-year student who has forgotten how to smile. She fights against “something” that cannot be seen in the school building at night.
  • Sayuri Kurata – A third-year student and Mai’s best friend. She is a friendly girl who is always smiling, in stark contrast to Mai.
  • Kaori Misaka – Nayuki’s best friend who also becomes one of Yuichi’s classmates. Her personality is the polar opposite of Nayuki’s.
  • Mishio Amano – A first-year student at the school Yuichi transfers to. She is always alone, and does not allow people to get close to her.
  • Akiko Minase – The head of the Minase household. She is Nayuki’s mother and Yuichi’s aunt.
  • Jun Kitagawa – Yuichi’s classmate. He has a friendly and straightforward personality.
