Honkai: Nexus Anima launches in spring 2027; final closed beta test begins November 25
Sign-ups now available.
Open-world creature-catching adventure RPG Honkai: Nexus Anima will launch for PC, iOS, and Android in spring 2027, miHoYo announced. A final closed beta test will begin on November 25. Sign-ups are available now via the official website.
Here is an overview of the test, via miHoYo:
In the Final Closed Beta, players take on the role of an Animaster and set out from the town of Iia on a brand-new adventure. This test features more captivating stories, distinctive gameplay, and richer exploration than any before it, painting a fuller picture of the world of Honkai: Nexus Anima. Players will not only unlock new chapters of the adventure, but also meet new faces along the way — some companions, others formidable rivals. Each brings a past and a stance of their own, adding more unknowns and possibilities to the journey ahead.
As the adventure unfolds, Iia, where the journey begins, will reveal more of itself: from the stately halls of a traditional bank, to the bustling floors of a high-rise office building, all the way to a breezy lighthouse island. Across these varied settings, players will get a feel for the distinct atmosphere and warmth of every corner of town. Of course, no matter how long the journey, every traveler needs a place to stop and recharge: in this test, players can head to their own RV for a rest at any time, or build habitats for their Anima as they explore the map.
Out exploring, players may also come across Anima in their Chromatic forms. More juvenile Anima will join the adventure too, traveling at players’ side and facing challenges with them, so players can witness every step of their growth from fledgling to formidable. The Eidos Event Bond and Anima Event Bond are also being adjusted: the first 5-star Eidos or Anima a player obtains is guaranteed to be the current limited one, and obtaining the current limited Eidos also lets them claim the matching Anima Companion for free.
Beyond the joy of new encounters, this test also deepens the ways Anima keep players company—holding hands, hugging, being hoisted high in the air by an Anima. More of these interactions will unlock one by one, making every step together feel that much more real. Finally, combat is getting an upgrade too. The brand-new Nexus Arena mode officially launches: players can put together any lineup they like, get matched against opponents, and push for higher ranks. The open world and the various challenge stages will also see tougher enemies, for a more demanding combat experience.
The “Final Closed Beta” is a limited-slot test with a data wipe at the end, available on PC, Android, and iOS. Once players have filled out the recruitment questionnaire, a selection of them will be granted test access, and those selected will be notified through the eligibility checker, email, SMS, and other channels. Details of the test schedule will follow in later announcements.
