Drill Core ‘Anniversary Update’ now available for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC; coming soon for Switch
Adds end-of-game statistics, contract escalation, and more.
Publisher tinyBuild and developer Hungry Couch have released the “Anniversary Update” for “strategic mining game” Drill Core for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The Switch version will follow at a later date.
Here are the patch notes, via tinyBuild:
- Added end-of-game statistics showing the effective damage dealt by turrets and buildings.
- Added a new building where players can complete sponsor company tasks during a contract in exchange for rewards.
- Added the ability to Escalate a Contract. Escalated Contracts are more difficult but grant additional rewards.
- Added the ability to hire additional Specialists during a contract, on top of the Specialists available from the start. Each Specialist can only be hired once per contract.
- Added the ability to inspect the base while choosing a Technology/Distortion.
- Added three new platform skins: one for each platform. They are available for free to all players who launch the game before the end of September.
- Added Relaxed Mode, which can be selected before starting a contract. This mode provides a more relaxed, meditative gameplay experience.
- Added a x3 game speed option in the settings, in addition to x2.
- Improved the tutorial; tips now appear in a more consistent and logical sequence
- General balance changes
