Monster Hunter Wilds for Switch 2 launches December 4
Featuring wireless local play, cross-play, and all free title updates.
The recently announced Switch 2 version of Monster Hunter Wilds will launch on December 4, Capcom announced. Pre-orders begin on October 19.
Monster Hunter Wilds first launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on February 28, 2025.

Monster Hunter Wilds summons a new wave of hunters to the Forbidden Lands, when the acclaimed action RPG releases for Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026. Hunters on the Expedition Team journey to the Forbidden Lands in search of the mysterious “White Wraith,” wield 14 iconic weapon types against larger-than-life monsters, and gather resources to craft an expansive arsenal of more powerful gear during their search for answers. The Nintendo Switch 2 release includes all Title Update content including the Grand Hub, returning fan-favorite monsters including Lagiacrus, and the Final Fantasy XIV Online collaboration. Additionally, hunters can band together with other Nintendo Switch 2 players using local wireless connections, or online with full cross-play support.
The Standard Edition of Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on the Nintendo eShop for MSRP $39.99, while the Gold Edition including the base game and a wealth of cosmetic downloadable content will be available for MSRP $79.99. When digital pre-orders for Monster Hunter Wilds begin on October 19, the Standard Edition will be available for an early adopter’s discount of MSRP $29.99 until the promotion ends on December 3, 2026. The physical Monster Hunter Wilds Deluxe Edition, including the base game and the Deluxe Pack cosmetics, will be available for MSRP $39.99. A free Prologue Demo will also be coming before launch, so keep a look out!
