M2 announces Armed Police Batrider re-release
Welcome back to Violence City!
M2 has announced Armed Police Batrider, a tentatively titled re-release of the vertically-scrolling shoot ’em up of the same name. Platforms and a release date were not announced.
Armed Police Batrider was originally released as an arcade game in January 1998, developed by Raizing (now Eighting). It features a team-based system, which was unusual for a shoot ’em up, that allows players to choose a combination of multiple aircraft for each sortie. Players can choose from 18 different aircraft, including members of the government’s secret agent team “ZERO COP” and guest characters from previous Raizing games. Additionally, the button pressed during character selection determines each aircraft’s performance and weapon upgrade type.
