About

LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons is a new dungeon-crawler RPG where the worlds and characters of classic literature are reimagined through anime girls, treacherous expeditions, and turn-based combat.

LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons is the next title from NANAIRO ENTERPRISE following TurretGirls, carrying forward the studio’s distinctive anime aesthetic and playful personality into an entirely new kind of game. This time, players will assemble a party of Girls inspired by icons of classic literature and lead them through hostile worlds where preparation, formation, and knowing when to take a risk can mean the difference between bringing home valuable resources and not bringing everyone home at all!

Classic Literature. Anime Girls. Dangerous Dungeons

LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons is a dungeon-crawler RPG where classic literature meets anime Girls! Assemble a party inspired by legendary characters such as Alice, Juliet, Dante, and Raven, then lead them into treacherous dungeons crawling with monsters, traps, treasure, and otherworldly horrors.

Journey through worlds inspired by classic literary works, escape with precious resources, strengthen your team, develop your base, and prepare for increasingly dangerous expeditions.

Admire their combat prowess! Inspect their… stats!

Ready Your Girls

The Astral Scriptorum is your home base, a sanctuary that exists neither here nor there in space or time. Use the rewards of successful expeditions to strengthen your Girls and develop the Scriptorum, then select skills and equipment and assemble the right team for your next mission.
Each expedition asks players to balance risk and reward. Venture into maze-like dungeons filled with resources, traps, monsters, and formidable bosses. Every mission has an objective to fulfill, but completing it won’t mean much if your Girls don’t make it back alive!

Fight for Your Lives

Combat is turn-based, with the Girls fighting in four ranks against enemies arranged in formations of their own. Each Girl gets one action per turn, making formation, positioning, abilities, and careful decision-making critical to survival.

Players must manage more than their Girls’ physical health. HP represents their physical condition, while Pathos represents their mental state. When HP reaches zero, further attacks can result in actual death. Deplete a Girl’s Pathos, however, and even the bravest fighter can lose her will to carry on.

And taking a beating can have other… consequences. The more damage your Girls take, the less visible equipment they may have left by the end of the fight!

Words Have Power

At the heart of another layer of strategy is LOGOS, a system built around collecting powerful words.

Players can collect and equip LOGOS to gain a variety of passive buffs or call upon them during battle to turn desperate situations in their favor. Choosing the right LOGOS alongside the right Girls, skills, equipment, and formation gives players more ways to prepare their party for the challenges waiting ahead.

From the World of TurretGirls

LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons is the second title set within NANAIRO ENTERPRISE’s “Girls World,” following the studio’s railgun defense shooter TurretGirls.

While LitGirls trades railguns and alien hordes for literature, dungeon exploration, and turn-based battles, it carries forward the studio’s signature approach to anime-inspired characters, unconventional worlds, and a playful sense of humor. This time, however, the Girls will need more than firepower to survive.
