Crunchyroll dedicated hub announced for PS5
Bringing together anime, anime-inspired games and easy access to Crunchyroll.
Sony Interactive Entertainment and Crunchyroll will release a dedicated anime hub for the PlayStation 5 home screen in spring 2027, the companies announced.
“From Crunchyroll membership on PlayStation, to the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime series,” said Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini in a press release. “Today, we take that partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment one step further with an anime hub on PlayStation. Serving fans means meeting them where they already are.”
Here are the first details:
Sony Interactive Entertainment will introduce a new dedicated anime space within the PlayStation 5 home experience, bringing together anime, anime-inspired games, and easy access to Crunchyroll.
Launching next spring, the new anime destination is designed to make it easier for the PlayStation community to discover and explore the anime content they enjoy.
Anime and gaming have deeply engaged and overlapping fan communities, and the new experience will bring those worlds closer together on PlayStation 5. Whether longtime anime fans or discovering a series through a game, character, or world they already love, players will have a dedicated place to discover anime and anime-inspired games and easily access the full Crunchyroll app.
