Jupiter Corporation has announced Picross S Climax, a culmination of the Picross S puzzle game series for Switch 2 and Switch. It will launch on December 10 in Japan for 2,980 yen. A Switch 2 physical edition (game-key card) will be available for 3,480 yen.
Picross S Climax includes 1,020 carefully selected puzzles from Picross S, Picross S2, Picross S3, Picross S4, Picross S5, Picross S6, Picross S7, Picross S8, and Picross S9. It also includes 40 new high-difficulty bonus puzzles for veteran players, unlockable by linking save data from any game in the Picross S series.
In addition to the four modes playable in the Picross S series—“Picross,” “Mega Picross,” “Color Picross,” and “Clip Picross”—Picross S Climax also includes a 40×30-grid “Extra” mode.
Background music from previous games in the series can also be freely set during gameplay. Players can listen to their favorite music at any time via the built-in “Sound player.”
Picross S Climax also supports touchscreen and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, and up to four players can play at simultaneously using button controls.
