Monster Hunter Wilds expansion ‘Ascendance’ reveals Teostra

Capcom has released the Tokyo Game Show 2026 extended cut of the first official trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds major expansion “Ascendance,” revealing Teostra as a huntable monster.

Today’s show included an extended cut of the latest trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, revealing that Teostra is making an explosive return. Hunters can look forward to battling the fire-breathing Elder Dragon when the massive expansion launches in 2027.
The expansion’s producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Takuro Hiraoka also delivered new details to prepare Hunters for the adventures that await, including a breakdown on the Boost Bracer, which enhances the action and makes hunts even more exhilarating.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance players can also look forward to several refinements to further improve their gameplay experience, including faster weapon swapping without the use of a Seikret mount, changing equipment outside the tent with the Item Box, and more! These improvements will also be available in the Monster Hunter Wilds base game.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. A Switch 2 version is due out on December 4. The major expansion “Ascendance” is due out in 2027.
