Time management mystery adventure game Trainwatch to be published by 11 bit studios
Due out in 2027.
11 bit studios will publish Harvester Games-developed time management mystery adventure game Trainwatch when it launches for PC via Steam in 2027, the companies announced.
Here is an overview of the game, via 11 bit studios:
About
A fogbound railway crossing in the middle of nowhere might not be the most obvious setting for a video game, but it’s central to this time-management mystery adventure. Troy has decided to withdraw from his everyday life, and a new job in near-complete solitude is meant to help him take stock – and make up for the mess he’s made of things. For the next month, his tasks are simple: close the gate when the trains cross, stay sober, and call his wife every night.
Trainwatch is 11 bit studios’ smallest-scale publishing signing to date, at least in terms of team: a solo-developer project masterminded by Remigiusz “Rem” Michalski, a well-known name among indie horror fans, whose earlier titles—including The Cat Lady and Lorelai—paired genuine dread with captivating, mature storytelling.
Key Features
- Do Your Job – Check the timetable, close the gates, watch the train pass, and raise them again. A Gatekeeper‘s work is simple, repetitive, and almost boring—until every errand, strange call, and step into the fog turns the next train into a deadline. Learn the routine, respect the clock, and keep your promise every time the tracks begin to hum.
- Follow the Fog – The Tower is not the only thing standing in the middle of nowhere. Beyond the crossing, you’ll find strange neighbors, locked places, old paths, and secrets that were never meant for you. The farther Troy goes, the more the world seems to pull him in, and the harder it becomes to turn back.
- Hold Yourself Together – Keep Troy fed, rested, clean, and steady. Hunger, exhaustion, fear, and neglect will wear him down, while every missed call with Agatha makes the month harder to face. Staying sober is not a promise made once at the start of the job – it is something Troy has to work at, day after day, between trains, errands, and whatever waits outside.
- Learn to Let Go – The month will not wait for you to be ready. Trains will come, Agatha will be on the phone, strangers will ask for help, and the fog will keep offering another reason to leave. You cannot chase every lead, keep every promise, and make every day perfect. Decide what matters now, what can be missed, and what kind of man Troy becomes when something has to give.
