thatgamecompany establishes thatgamepublisher
A "couple" of games already signed.
Journey and Sky: Children of the Light developer thatgamecompany has announced the establishment of publishing label thatgamepublisher, which will support games that “move people through play.”
The label is open to developers of any size and projects at any stage of development, from solo developers to larger teams with AA-level budgets. It will operate as a full-service publisher, providing funding, production planning, platform and launch strategy, marketing, community management, and long-term intellectual property development.
thatgamepublisher has already signed a “couple” of projects, though none were announced today.
Funding for the publishing label comes from profits generated by Sky: Children of the Light, thatgamecompany’s free-to-play adventure game for PlayStation 4, Switch, PC, iOS, and Android.
