Honkai: Star Rail version 4.5 update ‘To Roll the Stars in Astropolis’ launches August 26

Step into Astropolis and indulge in a summer getaway.

The version 4.5 update for Honkai: Star Rail, dubbed “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis,” will launch on August 26, developer miHoYo announced.

Here is an overview of the update, via miHoYo:

Facing a crisis triggered by the Voracity, the Trailblazer will officially depart for Astropolis, a key Interastral Peace Corporation stronghold, to seek aid for the disaster-stricken Planarcadia. In addition, the Trailblazer will have the opportunity to embark on a special summer vacation with Robin and Aventurine.
Following the Express Crew’s victory over Lord Ravager Asat Pramad, the Voracity makes THEIR official appearance, once again plunging Planarcadia into a fatal crisis. To find the crucial strength needed to aid Planarcadia, the Trailblazer will attempt to evade the Voracity’s obstruction and officially depart for Astropolis, the headquarters of the Interastral Peace Entertainment. There, the Trailblazer will navigate the complex hierarchy of the IPC’s upper management to secure the key power required to help Planarcadia survive this calamity.
As the crown jewel of the IPC’s business empire, Astropolis not only embodies the elegant lifestyle of Interastral Peace Corporation workers and executives, but also serves as the vacation destination of choice for countless envoys, tycoons, and officials from across the Pan-Cosmic Trade System. In the story of this Trailblaze Continuance, which takes place either shortly or a long time after the journey in Planarcadia concludes, the Trailblazer will embark on an unforgettable interstellar vacation in Astropolis alongside Robin and Aventurine.
In this update, the 5-star Wind character on the Path of Remembrance, Robin • Summeretto, will officially debut. Since Sunday left Penacony, Robin has taken over as the head of the Oak Family. This time, Robin isn’t just here to perform, but is also on a secret mission to investigate Gopher Wood’s “legacy.” However, this superstar’s stage isn’t limited to concert venues. In combat, Robin • Summeretto will also take the stage and sing alongside her little bird band, providing buffs for the team. At the same time, her teammates’ actions will accumulate Vibes for Robin • Summeretto. After she uses her Skill and her Vibes reach a certain level, her voice will bring the team to a Fever Pitch. Whenever allies attack the enemy, they will gain buffs, and the more frequently allies take action, the stronger the buffs Robin • Summeretto provides. Furthermore, when Robin • Summeretto uses her Ultimate, she can make a designated teammate immediately take action and regenerate Energy, while simultaneously increasing her own Vibes. It’s also worth noting that in this story, Robin • Summeretto will debut her brand-new single, Only by Chasing the Wind, delivering a summery burst of vitality and surprises to fans in Astropolis and across the cosmos!

In the second half of the version, the 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Elation, Aventurine • Waveflair, will make his debut. Despite kicking off a leisurely vacation in Astropolis, Aventurine continues to secretly leverage his connections and bargaining chips, vowing to verify his conjectures about the traitor among the Ten Stonehearts one by one. As a sports enthusiast and avid surfer, Aventurine • Waveflair attacks enemies in combat using a beach volleyball or by surfing the waves. Whenever he uses an ability or a teammate takes action, Aventurine • Waveflair can accumulate Punchline and Fervor. When Fervor reaches a certain number of points, he immediately triggers an extra Elation Skill. This not only attacks all enemies but also deals multiple instances of random single-target DMG. During the next Aha Instant, Aventurine • Waveflair’s Elation Skill is further enhanced. The more actions the team takes, the higher the DMG dealt by the Elation Skill.
After the version update, the drop rate for the limited 5-star character Robin • Summeretto and the limited 5-star Light Cone “Rise and Sing” will be boosted. The limited 5-star character Hyacine will concurrently receive a rerun, and the 4-star Light Cone “A Little Getaway” will also be added to the first half’s Event Warps. Starting September 12, the drop rate for the limited 5-star character Aventurine • Waveflair and the limited 5-star Light Cone “Summer Rides the Surf” will be boosted, and the limited 5-star character Ashveil will also receive a rerun.
In terms of version events, the racing event “Overdrive: Whirlwind Grand Prix” will officially kick off! The Trailblazer will step up as a team principal, leading their crew to become the brightest new stars on the track. Additionally, the “Minuscule Great Adventure” event will be launching simultaneously, allowing the Trailblazer to experience some fun and relaxing stage challenges. At the same time, the Divergent Universe is getting a gameplay update. The “Planar Fissure” and “Realm of the Strange” double-drop events, alongside a brand-new piece of Trailblaze Fashion, the electronic emoti standee headwear “Aw, Look Up Here,” will all be going live as well. As for the story mission experience, starting from Version 4.5, story dialogue can be sped up. Players can toggle this feature on or off at any time during story dialogue.
Finally, Honkai: Star Rail has officially announced its collaboration with MOONDROP. Sparxie-themed collaboration products and various online and offline events will gradually roll out across multiple regions worldwide, with more details to be revealed soon. Later this year, Honkai: Star Rail will also launch a surprise collaboration with Zenless Zone Zero. Characters from the world of Zenless Zone Zero will join the Trailblaze on a cosmic adventure, so stay tuned for more details!
