Tensei Game: Karma x Cross launches August 6 in Japan
Sugoroku-style game from Yuji Horii and Muneyuki Kaneshiro.
Tensei Game: Karma x Cross, the April 2025-announced sugoroku-style game advised by Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii and concepted by Blue Lock and As the Gods Will author Muneyuki Kaneshiro, will launch for Switch via Nintendo eShop on August 6 in Japan, publisher and developer Any, and developer ArtePiazza announced. It will support one to four players.
Here is an overview of the game:
Join the “Tensei Game” to be reborn into a wonderful next life.
However, if you don’t win the game, you won’t qualify to be reborn. To win, you will need to collect plenty of “Karma.”
Good things and bad things, trust and betrayal, love, friendship, and even curses—everything becomes “Karma.”
Now, let the “Tensei Game” begin.
After dying in a fatal accident, you participate in the “Tensei Game” in hopes of your ideal reincarnation.
Out of the game’s four participants, only three can be reincarnated.
The sugoroku-style stage, prepared by the game master of the Samsara Realm, is played over the course of 11 turns in the first half and 11 turns in the second half, for a total of 22 turns.
Within this limited timeframe, you must collect enough “Karma”—the currency of the Samsara Realm—to purchase a “Soul Vessel” suitable for your reincarnation. At times, you may need to harden your heart and knock down others to get ahead.
Entrust your fate to the eight-sided die that will carry you across the game board. Now, let your reincarnation begin!
