Here is an overview of the game, via NIS America:
About
In Prinny Party: Going Overboard!, a four-player party game, you and your friends will do whatever it takes to defeat the Supreme Overboard and his Protago-Knights! In practice, it’s quite simple: move around the board, earn experience, acquire more powerful equipment, and turn in quests to stay ahead of the curve. Then, when a boss spawns, work together to take him down!
But friendships don’t last long in Prinny Party: Going Overboard! Only the player who brings the boss back to spawn gets the credit, so do whatever it takes to be the hero!
Throw, fight, and squabble your way to victory! Whatever you do, just don’t die all at once, or it’ll be game over—for everyone!
Features:
Huck, Chuck, Boom! – Pick up and throw your friends, enemies, and frenemies to put things in their place. As always, be careful when handling Prinnies!
Build a Better Tomorrow – By landing on a build space, you can build and upgrade facilities, such as hospitals or armories. Just remember: other players will be able to shop there, too!
It Pays to Pass Some Bills – Triple your damage, move again, or build a cannon capable of wiping out even the most powerful demons. Everything is possible when you pass bills at the Assembly!
GameShare / Remote Play Together Support – Prinny Party: Going Overboard! features GameShare (Switch 2) / Remote Play Together (Steam) support, so you can play with your friends even if they don’t own a copy of the game!

And here are the first details, via Nippon Ichi Software:
■ What is a Prinny?
Prinny is the official mascot of Nippon Ichi Software, and likes to add “dood” after everything it says. They have a surprisingly high ability to adapt, as they can perform any role that they are given, albeit while voicing their complaints here and there. Most of them have careless personalities, but they are very welcome beings that will work their tails off for a single sardine per day.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Overall, that’s correct, but I sense some malice in that last sentence, dood…
▸ Manager Prinny: Patience, dood! If this game succeeds, we’re promised a raise in our pay, dood!
■ What is Prinny Party: Going Overboard!?
▸ Manager Prinny:Prinny Party: Going Overboard! is a devilish party game combining command-based RPG and sugoroku, dood!
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: The major feature is that even if you work together to beat the boss, the only winner is the one that brings back the boss. It inevitably leads to a game of betrayal, dood!
—Cooperate
—Obliterate
—And Betray!
▸ Manager Prinny: The Sugoroku Devil King boss is the ultimate evil, who took over the Sugoroku Park that we worked so hard to create, dood!
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: There’s also apparently other bosses known as The Big Four…
▸ Manager Prinny: We want your help so that we can bring peace back to Sugoroku Park, dood!
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Invite your friends, dood! We’ll be waiting for the report that the boss has been vanquished!
▸ Manager Prinny: And we’ll be watching over you, from a safe space!
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Viva la relying on other people, dood!
■ Rules Explanation
Goal: Beating the boss isn’t the end! The player who brings back the boss is the winner!
▸ Manager Prinny: Defeat the boss, and bring him back to the start point! His strength is on another level, so it’s necessary to strengthen your character before you fight against him, dood.
▸ Manager Prinny: Each character begins from the start point. Use the effect from each space you stop at to raise your stats. If you’re playing with multiple people, it’s most efficient to work together to defeat the boss, dood.
—Prepare for the boss by increasing your abilities!
—A boss appears! Are you going to work together…?
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: That being said, defeating the boss is only one step of the process, dood. The real winner is the player that brings the defeated boss back to the starting point. Can’t be on friendly terms with rules like that! Post-boss battle turns into a fight for the boss between players!
—The real battle begins after defeating the boss.
—While fighting over possession of the boss, make your way back to the starting point.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Betrayal to reach your goal is a necessary evil, dood! How much you will cooperate and when you will betray them…the key to winning is using your brain to stay one step ahead of the other players!
■ Playing the Game: Movement, Changing Abilities, Attack Enemies, Etc. Your Destiny is Decided by the Slot Machine!
▸ Manager Prinny: Starting by choosing which action to perform. In one turn, you can choose from options like “Move,” “Attack,” and “Item.” Each option can be chosen once, dood, and depending on your choice of action, it’ll be up to a slot machine to figure out what the result is.
—First, choose an action.
—Hope the slot machine gives you a good result!
▸ Manager Prinny: If you choose to move, depending on the space you land on, it’ll bring about different effects or events, dood. It may raise or lower your abilities, sell you useful items, or even have enemies that get in the way of the player!
—Use the effects of the space to your advantage.
—Defeating an enemy will raise your stats as well.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Playing nice isn’t the only way to play, dood! When you want to dismantle your collaborative relationship is up to you, dood. You can set up traps from the get-go, attack other players, and even swear your allegiance to evil!
—Set up traps on spaces.
–Players battling each other is also a thrill.
■ Playable Characters
▸ Manager Prinny: I’m gonna introduce several playable characters, dood! Depending on the character, the stats you begin with and the slot number layout may change drastically, so choosing a character is important! Of course, Prinny will also be playable! Obviously, dood.
—From left to right: Prinny, Warrior, Magician, Archer, Bandit.
—Find your favorite character.
—As expected, Prinny is the weakest.
▸ Manager Prinny: Expectedly the weakest, dood? Nothing could be done about that?
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: If master finds out we changed our stats, then he’s definitely going to CENSORED us, dood. That’s the life of a hired hand.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Still! I’m sure there are good things about using Prinny!
▸ Manager Prinny: Oh? How can a Prinny, who seems to be destined to be hated for being such a weak character, have any merit?
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: If you use Prinny and win…I’m sure it’ll feel good, dood!
▸ Manager Prinny: This!
■ Bosses
▸ Manager Prinny: The boss will appear from out of his castle after a certain amount of time has passed. There’s a “Sugoroku Devil King” and “The Big Four,” but if you don’t tone yourself up, there’s a chance that they’ll drop you in a single punch. So be careful, dood!
—The Big Four
—Sugoroku Devil King
—One of The Big Four appears from the Devil King’s castle.
—They are not opponents that can easily be defeated alone.
▸ Manager Prinny: Are my eyes playing tricks on me, dood? They say The Big Four, but it looks like there are six of them.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: That’s not important, dood!
▸ Manager Prinny: Oh..okay, dood. But either way, they are an intimidating bunch. Worthy of being called bosses.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: And those antennae-like hair on the Sugoroku Devil King. Just saying his name sends shivers down my spine, dood!
▸ Manager Prinny: There will be no peace in Sugoroku Park unless these guys are defeated, dood! Won’t anyone help us?
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Seriously, dood. I hope lots of players come out to help us.
■ Unique Elements of This Game
◆ Element #1: “Betrayal” is the key word? The two-sided nature of “collaborative relationship” and “antagonistic relationship.”
▸ Manager Prinny: Even if you work together to defeat the boss, the only winner is the one who brings him back. The real battle begins after defeating the boss!
—It is easier to defeat the boss by working together.
—The boss will be captured upon defeat.
—The battle to possess the boss now begins.
—Win by bringing the boss back to the start!
▸ Manager Prinny: What’s important is going from collaboration to confrontation. It’s designed with betrayal in mind, dood!
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Make it look like you’re their friend, and then turn your back on them at the perfect timing! When everything works out, it just feels so good, dood!
▸ Manager Prinny: Every player is an ally, and an enemy at the same time. Maintaining a good balance is how a player controls the game, dood.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: It’s completely fine to betray right before the boss fight, dood, or run around without participating in the battle.
▸ Manager Prinny: In fact, if you’re using Prinny, running around is the standard!
◆ Element #2: The more you stack facilities, the more fulfilling the content. Keep stacking and stacking!
▸ Manager Prinny: There are several different types of facilities, such as “General Shop,” “Martial Arts Training Room,” “Shield Summoning Temple,” and “Hospital.” Each can have effects, like raising the abilities of a character or healing damages. Furthermore, stack the same facility, and the rank will go up, leading to stronger effects. Land on an empty space without any facilities, and you can take the chance to keep building and stacking, dood!
—Stacking the facilities will raise its effects.
—Stacked facilities can be knocked over to obstruct other players.
▸ Manager Prinny: You can also stack different types of facilities on one space, dood!
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Well, dood, you can still only use one facility at the space you stopped at.
◆ Element #3: Turn the tables with “Sugoroku Council”! Pass suggestions that go against the rules!
▸ Manager Prinny: During the council, you can alter the speed of the slot machine, change the order of actions, or even taunt a certain someone who you should not anger. Any suggestion, even those that break the rules, are on the table!
—Agenda to make it easier to pull what you want in the slot machine.
—The situation may change drastically if your suggestions go through!
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: To pass an agenda that only benefits yourself, or to create chaos on the board…hard to choose, dood!
▸ Manager Prinny: It’s gonna show who the player is inside, dood!
◆ Element #4: Using “Throw” to move even enemies and facilities! There may be some unexpected effects…
▸ Manager Prinny: You can throw nearby players, enemies, and facilities. How far you can throw them will depend on your character. There are many uses for throwing, such as sticking an unwanted enemy to another player, or putting a facility farther so that another player cannot use it.
—Distance thrown changes depending on the character.
—Throw a facility onto a facility to stack them.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: You should throw whenever possible, dood. Right?
▸ Manager Prinny: Not exactly, dood.
—By the way, if you throw a Prinny…
—It will explode and die.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Why do we explode!? What’s the mechanism, dood!?
▸ Manager Prinny: On top of being the weakest, we explode when thrown…that’s just the silly quirk of a Prinny, dood.
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: Winning as Prinny is impossible, then!
▸ Manager Prinny: Well, it isn’t just exclusive to Prinny, but if you do die, you do revive and return to the board after a while. And you get just a little bit stronger, dood!
▸ Field Supervisor Prinny: So…there’s hope…dood?
▸ Manager Prinny: It all depends on the player’s skill and luck! Good luck, dood!
