About
OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek invites players into an eerie world inspired by traditional Japanese legends for a thrilling game of cat-and-mouse. Dive into this monster-infested world solo, or team up with friends! Featuring a unique “scary-cute” character design and charming visuals, this game delivers all the heart-pounding tension of asymmetric multiplayer matches in an accessible, fun package for all ages and horror tolerance levels.
Team Human vs. Team Monster
Matches support up to eight players online. Players will face off in intense three-minute rounds as either a Monster (one or two players) or a Human (three or six players). If the Monsters catch everyone and put them in jail within the time limit, they win. If even a single Human manages to evade capture until time runs out, the Humans win!
Monsters possess unique traits and skills—such as passing through walls, high-speed movement, and powerful capture attacks. Use them wisely to craft your winning strategy!
Humans must rely on teamwork to survive. Jump across floors to escape, carry your allies to safety, or flash your trump card—the Lantern—to stun the Monsters and make a break for it!
Don’t panic if you get caught! Your teammates can come to the rescue and break you out of jail. However, watch out for camping Monsters—a rescue mission can easily turn into a trap, leading to a dramatic victory for the Monster team!
Online and Local Multiplayer with Shared Play Support!
OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek is built for chaotic fun and cooperation, whether you are playing online with players worldwide or sharing the couch with friends and family. Both online and local multiplayer modes support up to eight players.
The game also features a Custom Rules mode, allowing you to freely adjust the monster-to-human ratio, time limits, and more. Furthermore, by using the Game Share feature across two Nintendo Switch 2 systems, players without a copy of the game to join in on the fun!
