Monochrome roguelike platformer Gennady adds PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions
Due out in Q4 2026.
Sobaka Studio will release Feed 64-developed monochrome roguelike platformer Gennady for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch alongside its previously announced PC (Steam) version in Q4 2026, the publisher announced.
“We love games about tough warriors in even tougher situations, so when the opportunity arose to bring Gennady to consoles, it was a perfect fit for us,” said Sobaka Studio head Dmitry Kachkov in a press release. “I think Gennady and Morgan from KIBORG would get along…or leave each other in a bloody pulp.”
Here is an overview of the game, via Sobaka Studio:
Gennady is an absurd monochrome roguelike platformer.
Gennady’s going to wish his dream about being on a crowded bus in nothing but his underwear was real when we wakes up in an alien meat factory. These chthonic creatures won’t let him just walk out – so he’ll have to use his fists, alien weaponry, and hurl his own body as a projectile to make his own way out, in this brutal, hand-drawn, procedurally generated side-scroller.
Rip through bloodstained walls, acidic barriers, and alien scum with brutal speed as a living projectile. Pummel extraterrestrial heathens the old-fashioned way in hand-to-hand fisticuffs, followed by entering Rage Mode to become an invulnerable force to be reckoned with. The better Gennady does at exterminating threats, the longer the rage ensues.
Fuel pent-up rage with shields, ammo, and other useful trinkets for an effective roguelike run. Bend the rules of permadeath by shooting collected artifacts and carrying them into the next run. Upgrade Gennady’s abilities and weapons to conquer colossal boss encounters standing in the way of freedom.
