Digital Extremes has released a new trailer and screenshots for fantasy adventure game Soulframe, featuring a new performance by Jennifer English, in-character as Alora, the Empress of Eldveil.
“Working with the team to bring this world full of heartfelt characters to life is a dream come true,” said Soulframe creative director Geoff Crookes in a press release. “We’re so thankful to have opportunities to collaborate with such cool people to be able to share this new trailer with audiences around the world who might be a bit curious about Soulframe or maybe might even be learning about it for the first time today. To all our current and newfound potential players, we look forward to playing with you and creating this adventure together. Community is a keystone of our development cycle, and we’re eager to iterate on your feedback.”
Here are the latest details, via Digital Extremes:
Heavily influenced by themes of nature and restoration, Soulframe promises a personal journey of discovery through a handcrafted world. Players, joined by friends online, will inherit the Virtues of Courage, Spirit, and Grace of their Ancestors to restore the broken land of Alca and its corrupted Omen Beast protectors. Use powerful abilities, ancient weaponry, magick, and stealth to unearth a personal story of birthright and the encroaching clash of nature and industry.
Everyone interested in playing can explore Soulframe for free on PC in Soulframe Preludes, an early Alpha playtest, by signing up on Soulframe‘s official website. This initial look at Soulframe allows its development to be guided by feedback from the community. All players with access to Soulframe Preludes will maintain their completion status throughout its development cycle, and progress will not be lost along the way to its full release.
Players signing up for Soulframe Preludes‘ access queue are randomly drawn weekly. Players can also choose to instantly unlock access to Soulframe Preludes by becoming a Founder.
