Publisher Skystone Games and developer Streetlamp Studio have released a new trailer and screenshots for anime-inspired side-scrolling roguelike action platformer SlashZero introducing new gameplay sequences and teasing a new character whose identity remains shrouded in mystery.
“With SlashZero, we wanted to push the boundaries of the side-scrolling roguelite,” said Streetlamp Studio producer Jun in a press release. “By investing in high-quality 3D animation and in-game performance with a simultaneous PC and console launch, we’re delivering a prestige experience that rewards skill with a visual spectacle.”
Here are the latest details, via Skystone Games:
Choose Your Power. Hone Your Style.
The new trailer makes the creative promise of SlashZero impossible to ignore. Roguelite players have seen fluid combat before—but rarely married to this level of visual ambition and build-crafting depth. Every run in SlashZero is a statement: a different expression of the same frenetic, and high-impact combat system that breaks across timelines. Stack your abilities. Exploit the synergies. Make it your own.
The trailer showcases a combat system built for player expression—aerial strings, skill combos, and a deep upgrade web that rewards both experimentation and mastery. The message is direct: “Fall, Evolve, Rise—Time is Infinite.” Every death is a data point. Every run, a new power set. The loop is the point.
A New Character Enters the Timeline
The trailer closes with a tease—a character new to the SlashZero universe—who appears to be moving against the Hieros-I corruption from an unexpected angle. No name. No faction. Just a weapon and a shadow. Streetlamp Studio is staying tight-lipped on details ahead of launch, but the implication is clear: the roster of Timehackers is growing.

SlashZero is in development for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
