Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass DLC and version 2.0 update announced
Part 1 of three-part add-on due out in August.
Publisher The Pokemon Company and developers Game Freak and Koei Tecmo have announced the Pokemon Popopia Expansion Pass, a three-part paid downloadable content that provides additional content for the cozy life simulation game.
Part 1 of the expansion pass, due out in August, introduces the new area “Bubbly Basin.” The free version 2.0 update will arrive alongside the downloadable content, introducing the “Dive” move that allows Ditto to explore underwater.
Part 2 will follow in late 2026, while Part 3 will launch in 2027.

Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass Downloadable Content
The Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass downloadable content is paid additional content that gives players the opportunity to expand their town-building adventures with three content add-ons, all of which are playable using the player’s existing Pokemon Pokopia save data.
Part 1, Bubbly Basin, launches in August 2026. Bubbly Basin introduces an underwater town where players can encounter Pokemon living beneath the sea, discover ocean floor-themed furniture and find new outfits for Ditto.
Part 2, which will include additional new features, is scheduled for late 2026. Part 3, which will introduce another new town, is planned for 2027. More details will be revealed in the future.
Pokemon Pokopia Version 2.0 Free Update
Pokemon Pokopia Version 2.0 launches in August 2026 at no cost and introduces a newly added move, Dive. Using Dive allows Ditto to explore new environments underwater for the first time.
In-Game Items and Purchase Bonus
Players who purchase the Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass downloadable content can claim a recipe for dynamic Ditto print blocks and wallpaper, which is redeemable for use in-game upon purchase. Also, players who purchase the Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass downloadable content by Tuesday, August 31, 2027, will receive a code for 30 rare Pokemetal ingots. This code will be sent to the email address registered to the player’s Nintendo Account and can be redeemed via the Mystery Gifts feature in-game
Pokemon Pokopia is available now for Switch 2.
