Messhof announces 2D platforming survival game Blood Dungeon for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC
Due out in the late summer.
Nidhogg developer Messhof has announced Blood Dungeon, a 2D platforming survival game due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in the late summer. A demo is available now for PC.
“I like to sketch ideas in Game Maker once in a while to get them out of my head,” says Messhof co-founder Mark Essen in a press release. “While it’s been a while since I’ve done the art for a Messhof project, I still enjoy working in 2D for fun side projects. This game started as a little weekend project that I shared with friends and lent itself to being something I could scratch at over the years as a way to wind down at night. The lack of pressure and small windows of time that defined 90% of the development kept it fun and drove a lot of the design decisions. I had a little $50 tablet with a screen and I did a lot of animation in the car if I had to wait around for something or other.”
