Single-player open-world action RPG DragonSword: Awakening announced for PC
A buy-to-play version of the free-to-play DragonSword.
HOUND13 has announced DragonSword: Awakening, a buy-to-play western release of the Korean free-to-play single-player open-world action RPG DragonSword. It will launch for PC via Steam in July, with a demo planned for Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition.
DragonSword first launched for PC, iOS, and Android on January 21 in South Korea. In a FAQ, HOUND13 clarified that while the Korean release is a free-to-play title with gacha elements, the western release is a buy-to-play game where all heroes and equipment can be obtained through the story and in-game activities.
The game will also support online cooperative play for up to two players in Battle, and up to three players in Raid. Cooperative play is host-based and has no regional restrictions.
HOUND13 said that while DragonSword: Awakening is currently only planned for a PC release, “we’re keeping the door open for future console releases and will share related news as soon as possible.”
